$BORDER
Border Zero Token — the only way onto the planet

Every move that changes the map pays Border Tax in $BORDER. War costs the most. The only way to earn that tax back is to lock $BORDER on land.
Why buy it
$BORDER is not a points ticker and not an APY farm. It is the collateral that makes a territory real, and the currency that Border Tax is paid in. Demand comes from the map, not from a promise.
- 01
Land is collateral
A tile is not a free click. Claiming locks 100 $BORDER. Bigger empires lock more. If you do not buy the token, you do not exist on the map.
- 02
War drains wallets
Attacking is the most expensive move: 5% Border Tax on top of the stake you bring. Hot frontiers soak liquidity. To keep fighting you have to keep buying.
- 03
Leaving is taxed
Abandon returns your stake minus 2%. Capture returns the loser their stake in full — the sink is activity, not death. Flippers pay to exit. Holders stay cheap.
- 04
Levy pays lockers, not bags
The next contract revision splits every collected tax 40% treasury / 60% Border Levy. The levy is paid at pulse close, weighted by locked stake. A wallet that never claims a tile earns zero.
Border Tax
This is a use-tax, not a transfer tax. $BORDER stays a normal ERC-20 so the game can measure every inbound transfer to the wei. A fee-on-transfer token would break the collateral invariant — PlanetGame rejects those on purpose.
- Claim2%Customs on expansion — charged on top of the 100 stake
- Reinforce1%Fortification duty — never resets the shield
- Attack5%War tax — the highest, because fighting should be expensive
- Abandon2%Exit duty — taken from the returned stake, not added on top
v1 forwards 100% of tax to feeRecipient in the same transaction. The 40 / 60 levy split is the published rule for the next PlanetGame revision — same numbers the demo, docs and later contract will share.
The flywheel
- Buy → lock. You need $BORDER in the wallet to claim or attack.
- Lock → earn. Holders of locked stake are the only people in line for Border Levy.
- Fight → tax. Every war and every expansion feeds the pot. Peace is cheap. Aggression pays the map.
- Lose → walk away whole. A captured defender gets their stake back in full. The sink is the tax, not the loss. That keeps the token from becoming a death spiral.
What this is not
- No transfer tax on ordinary sends. That would brick the game contract.
- No hidden mint, no admin confiscation. The testnet faucet is public and boring.
- No APY, no emissions, no points that turn into cash. Control points are a scoreboard.
- A later DEX buy/sell tax is only legal if PlanetGame (and refunds) stay exempt. The collateral path can never be taxed.
